Here at Hillside Kennels, we believe that it is important to put the health, agility, behavior and overall quality of your future family member first. Our dogs are a member of the family for us, and they are treated accordingly. Some may say we spoil them, but we just call it a passion!
New Beginnings- Our Story
Hillside Kennel’s Miniature Poodles is an establishment based out of West Michigan. We established ourselves in 2023, but have gained experience with the poodle breed since 2020. Owner and founder, Ellyn Sandefur grew up with an AKC Championship Kerry Blue Terrier, which is a dog similar in coat style to the Poodle. This gave Ellyn her first real interest in ethical breeding and raising high-quality dogs. The goal is to both better the breed, and make this fantastic breed more accessible to those who take an interest in them. We are very focused on educating as well as learning all we can during this adventure.
